Administrative Assistant

Location: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay: $19/hour
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Employment Type: W2
• Start Date: March 23, 2026

ROLE IMPACT
The Administrative Assistant supports daily operations within a municipal department, ensuring efficient execution of clerical, human resources (HR), and budget-related functions. This role drives workflow continuity, vendor coordination, payroll accuracy, and internal communication. Success is measured by timely reporting, organized records management, and accurate financial and personnel documentation.

• Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support including data entry, call handling, correspondence, and records management
• Respond to inquiries from staff, vendors, and the public; research issues and deliver accurate, timely information
• Support payroll processing, staffing records, onboarding documentation, and new hire tracking
• Monitor supply inventory, prepare requisitions, and manage purchase orders (POs)
• Assist with annual budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and preparation of journal entry documentation

• Minimum Qualifications
• 4+ years of administrative or clerical support experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables
• Experience with financial management systems, supply chain management software, payroll systems, or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

• Payroll and HRIS platforms
• Purchase order and procurement systems
• Internal municipal or enterprise database systems

Preferred Skills
• Associate’s degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or related field
• Experience supporting municipal or public sector operations, including budgeting and contract compliance
• Familiarity with capital purchasing, financial reporting, and budget tracking processes
