Position Summary
Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support hospital and clinic billing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate claim submission, resolving billing edits, and ensuring timely reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit UB-04 and CMS-1500 claims
Review claims for billing errors, coding accuracy, and payer edits
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Resolve claim denials, rejections, and pending claims
Maintain accurate billing documentation within TruBridge
Work with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
Assist with month-end billing reconciliation and reporting
Follow CAH and payer-specific billing guidelines
Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
Experience with hospital or outpatient billing preferred
Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and revenue codes
Experience with UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms
Familiarity with TruBridge or similar EMR/billing systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Critical Access Hospital (CAH) billing experience
Experience with swing bed, SNF, or outpatient billing
CPB or CPC certification preferred
