CAD Designer - Aerospace and Defense

Ingenium Technologies - Rockford, IL

Additional Job Postings:

A large aerospace company is currently a CAD Designer to produce a 3-D model and 2-D layout drawings of the product to meet both engineering and customer requirements.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Create Proposal Outlines and Layouts for customers.

Create Proposal Envelope Solids in customer preferred formats.

Work with engineering for initial 2D concept of product.

Create solid model piece parts and housings in NX.

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure correct fit and alignment

Create assemblies in NX.

Create Layout and Balloon Sheets.

Create Layout Parts List.

Create dimensioned detail component drawings.

Investigate and improve, with engineering, current product design issues.

Support and participate in engineering design reviews
Required Software: TeamCenter NX, Drafting and PDM tools

Required Experience:

5-10 years experience in mechanical design with significant experience using NX

5-10 years experience in detailing design and related manufacturing methods are required

Some manufacturing experience is desirable especially related to machining, assembly and other traditional manufacturing processes

FEA knowledge with ANSYS is desirable
Required Education:

HS Diploma and/or technical certification required

Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
Position: Long Term Contract

Location: Rockford, IL
