Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Cocos2d-x Junior Game Developer to join our remote team as a contractor. In this unique role, you will leverage your game development expertise to create high-quality game content and mechanics that directly support the training and development of next-generation AI systems. Your domain knowledge and technical skills will be instrumental in shaping how AI models learn, reason, and perform in real-world scenarios. No prior AI experience is required your passion for game development and problem-solving ability are what matter most.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine game logic, mechanics, and features using Cocos2d-x for both prototype and production-level projects
• Collaborate closely with the customer's team to provide high-quality, real-world input and content for AI training processes
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot game assets and scenes to support diverse training objectives and use cases
• Test, debug, and optimize Cocos2d-x code to ensure robust, efficient, and stable gameplay experiences
• Document code, processes, and technical decisions thoroughly to ensure clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Engage in open, clear written and verbal communication to report project status, progress, and challenges
• Work iteratively in response to feedback and evolving requirements, consistently improving deliverables to meet AI development needs

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Cocos2d-x with hands-on, practical experience in 2D game development workflows
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in a game development context
• Proven experience collaborating remotely with distributed teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, concise updates and comprehensive documentation
• Ability to follow technical specifications precisely and adapt to evolving project requirements
• Understanding of game design principles and player experience (UX) optimization
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented mindset with a genuine eagerness to grow within a dynamic AI training environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working on projects specifically designed for AI training or data generation purposes
• Familiarity with additional game engines or programming languages (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, C++, Python)
• Background collaborating with AI or machine learning specialists on technical projects
• Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows

Portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating game development projects
