Corporate / Transactional Legal Assistant

StaffBuffalo is working with a well-established, fast-paced law firm in the Buffalo, NY area to hire a Corporate / Transactional Legal Assistant. This is a full-time, fully on-site opportunity offering $25.00–$34.00/hour, depending on experience, with overtime potential and a strong benefits package.

This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys transactional legal work, detailed document preparation, and supporting sophisticated business matters. You’ll work closely with experienced corporate attorneys on complex transactions, business formations, and agreements — playing a key role in keeping legal processes accurate, organized, and moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Support corporate attorneys with transactional legal matters, including buying and selling businesses

• Assist with business formation work, including LLCs, S-Corps, and filings with the New York State Department of State

• Draft, revise, format, and proofread legal and operational agreements

• Prepare and manage high volumes of legal documents and correspondence

• Maintain organized electronic files and ensure documentation is complete and accurate

• Track deadlines and assist with workflow management across multiple matters

• Communicate professionally with attorneys and internal teams to support smooth transactions

Qualifications

• Experience in a corporate, transactional, or professional office environment preferred

• Strong typing skills and comfort with heavy document preparation

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Professional communication skills and dependable work ethic

• Comfort supporting senior attorneys and handling confidential information

• Legal assistant or law firm experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $25.00–$34.00, depending on experience
