Corporate Yard Maintenance Worker
Part-Time of Full-Time
Day shift, Seasonal, All Seasons
Western Building Center is looking for a dependable and hardworking yard Maintenance Worker to help
keep our lumber yard and property clean, safe, and organized. This is a great opportunity for a high
school student, recent graduate, or entry-level candidate looking to gain hands-on work experience in
the building materials industry.
Responsibilities
● Pick up trash, scrap lumber, banding, and debris throughout the lumber yard and property
● Pull weeds and assist with basic landscaping and outdoor upkeep
● Keep lumber sheds, loading areas, drive lanes, and customer walkways clean and tidy
● Sweep and organize outdoor work areas and product displays
● Assist with straightening and organizing lumber, building materials, and outdoor merchandise
● Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and team members
● Assist yard and delivery staff with miscellaneous outdoor tasks as needed
● Follow company safety procedures and safe lifting practices
Qualifications
● Positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
● Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
● Ability to work independently and stay on task
● Able to lift, bend, walk, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
● No experience necessary — training provided
