Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm.

Description:

We’re looking for a solid, experienced mechanic to keep our fleet running. We operate across three facilities and rely heavily on our equipment. When something goes down, it affects the whole operation, so this is a key position for us.

Our fleet includes skid steers, excavators, material handlers, balers, roll-off trucks, 18-wheelers, service trucks, and more. Most units are diesel. Nearly all equipment runs hydraulics.

We know our equipment lineup is specialized, and we expect there will be equipment-specific training involved. But training only works if you already have strong mechanical fundamentals. We need someone who understands how machines work, not someone who has to be taught the basics.

We can potentially grow someone from an automotive background, but we strongly prefer a mechanic with a few years of real-world diesel, heavy equipment, or fleet experience under their belt.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (including cylinders).
• Handle electrical issues and general mechanical repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Track down parts and verify orders when needed.
• Travel between facilities as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Strong understanding of diesel and hydraulics.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Heavy equipment or truck experience preferred.
