Job Description

Executive Director – Hospice Leadership - Crown Hospice - Salary: $100,000-$120,000 DOE

Hospice leadership requires something rare. Hospice work is deeply meaningful — and deeply demanding. The right leader understands both. It requires the ability to lead with heart while leading with strength - supporting teams who carry heavy emotional loads, while still ensuring accountability, operational excellence, and exceptional patient care.

At Crown Hospice, we are seeking an Executive Director who understands that hospice leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility.

For more than 28 years, Crown Hospice has served our communities with a faith-based mission rooted in compassion, dignity, and unwavering support for patients, families, and the caregivers who serve them. Our longevity reflects a commitment not only to exceptional patient care, but to supporting the dedicated teams who make hospice work possible every day.

This role calls for a leader who can balance compassion with managerial courage -- who can support a team through burnout, celebrate their calling, and still step forward when tough conversations and difficult decisions are required. If you believe leadership means serving your team while guiding them toward excellence, this role was built for you.

What You'll Lead

As Executive Director, you will oversee the overall direction, operations, and quality of hospice services, ensuring that every patient and family receives care that reflects dignity, compassion, and clinical excellence.

You will guide an interdisciplinary team of hospice professionals, ensuring that clinical care, operations, and compliance all work together to support the organization’s mission.

This position is responsible for building strong teams, supporting staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational success across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • · Monitor financial performance and operational stability.
  • · Lead conflict resolution and support healthy workplace culture.
  • · Implement quality initiatives that strengthen patient care outcomes.
  • · Coordinate with governing bodies and senior leadership on operational goals.

You will also ensure hospice services continue evolving to meet the needs of patients, families, and the community.

Qualifications

We are seeking a leader who brings :

  • · RN, LPN, or other relevant healthcare or professional degree preferred.
  • · Leadership experience in hospice, home health, or community healthcare.
  • · Strong ability to lead, coach and develop professional teams.
  • · Deep understanding of hospice philosophy and interdisciplinary care.
  • · Knowledge of Medicare Hospice regulations and certification requirements.
  • · Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
