The Peel Compton Foundation is seeking a dedicated full-time Horticulture Landscape Maintenance Specialist to join our Grounds Crew team at Compton Gardens.

What youll be doing

• All gardening and grounds-keeping duties including planting weeding pruning mulching turf management maintaining drives and walkways painting and litter pickup.
• Planting and Gardening
• Greenhouse growing
• Light landscaping
• Keeping the grounds beautiful for the visitors.
• Basic maintenance work.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following tools and equipment.

• Basic hand tools
• Passion and understanding of horticulture practices
• landscape maintenance
• Greenhouse/nursery experience a plus
• Irrigation Systems
• Shovels
• Rakes
• Lawncare equipment
• Trimmers / blowers

Requirements:

• Experience in lawncare
• Must be a team player
• Enjoy working outside

Needed physical skills

Ability to climb ladders stand for many hours during the daytime work in all-types of weather such as wet cold hot humid and sunny conditions perform manual labor including lifting supplies and materials up to 50 lbs.

To be considered for this role all candidates must pass a criminal background check and have a clean drug screening.
