Junior Systems Administrator

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually

We're looking for a Junior Systems Administrator who enjoys solving problems, learning new technology, and helping others succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, current Computer Science or Information Technology student, or someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on experience supporting a growing nonprofit organization.

You'll work alongside our IT Solutions Architect, providing technical support to staff across multiple locations while gaining valuable experience with Microsoft 365, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, mobile device management, and enterprise infrastructure.

What You'll Do

As our Junior Systems Administrator, you'll help keep our organization running smoothly by:

• Providing first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and connectivity issues
• Supporting Windows 10/11 computers, Apple iOS devices, and Microsoft 365 applications
• Assisting with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory/Entra ID, and user account management
• Troubleshooting networking issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and printer connectivity
• Managing devices through Microsoft Intune
• Setting up equipment and technology for new employees
• Documenting and resolving support tickets efficiently
• Assisting with organization-wide technology projects and infrastructure improvements
• Helping maintain camera and access control systems across multiple locations
• Collaborating with third-party vendors and contractors during technology installations
• Participating in occasional after-hours on-call support for critical issues

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in finding someone who is eager to learn than someone who already knows everything.

You may be a great fit if you have:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A passion for technology and problem-solving
• Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
• Familiarity with Apple iOS devices
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
• Strong organization and time management skills
• The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous Help Desk, IT Support, or technical internship experience (preferred)
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or similar certifications (preferred)
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, or ticketing systems (preferred)
