Summary

Lead a critical operation that drives performance, quality, and efficiency. As the Oil Refinery Superintendent, you will oversee production operations within the refinery, ensuring processes run safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business goals. This role plays a key part in delivering high quality products, optimizing operational performance, and supporting regulatory and environmental standards while guiding teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a results driven leader who excels at balancing operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement to support overall facility success.

 

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). 

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the oil refinery production, maintenance staff, and employees responsible for sanitation to include training, and developing the staff to meet the needs of the business.
  • Provide Leadership for safety programs to ensure safe working conditions for all associates and compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
  • Manage facility programs with the purpose of ensuring the food safety and legality of manufactured products.
  • Provide leadership for environmental programs to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
  • Manage production operations to ensure maximum equipment and personnel utilization.
  • Manage product quality to ensure customer requirements and specifications are attained.
  • Manage routine and preventative maintenance programs for production operations to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Management, Business, or Engineering or 10 years’ work experience in substitute of a degree.
  • Experience of manufacturing technologies in Edible Oil Refining.
  • Understanding of safety programs and requirements.
  • Understanding of environmental programs and requirements.
  • Understanding of standard software applications.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • 8-10 years of experience leading and managing teams.
  • Required to travel to remote Agribusiness facilities and customer locations.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db – hearing protection required) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
  • Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment.
