Pay: $30.10 per hour.

Sign-on bonus: $2,500.

LOCATION:  Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday – Friday, as needed between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a licensed Optician in WV.
• Board certified as an Optician.
• Shall have experience as an Optician.

JOB DUTIES: 

• Shall fill the medically necessary eyeglass prescription as written by the privileged VA eye care provider.
• Shall ensure medical justification is within the prescription for any add-ons or shall communicate with the provider for updates.
• Shall be responsible for helping Veteran beneficiaries by greeting them, determining lifestyle needs for prescription eyewear, assisting with frame selection and making recommendations. The contractor shall perform measurements for pupillary distances, segment heights, base curves and review final frame selection choice with Veteran beneficiary.
