As a Security Officer Metal Processing in Waterbury CT this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures access-related policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas warehouses exterior grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed by site procedures and report suspicious behavior unauthorized access attempts and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence providing directions and assistance when needed and completing assigned reports related to patrol activity incidents and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
