Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PICU to provide specialized critical care for infants, children, and adolescents in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This role involves assessing critically ill pediatric patients, administering life-saving interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive critical care to pediatric patients with life-threatening conditions
  • Monitor and assess vital signs, ventilators, and IV drips
  • Administer medications, fluids, and blood products following PICU protocols
  • Respond to medical emergencies, including respiratory distress and cardiac arrests
  • Work closely with pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, and specialists to manage patient care
  • Educate and support patients' families through critical care situations
  • Maintain strict infection control and patient safety procedures
  • Document patient conditions, treatments, and responses accurately
  • Participate in continuous learning, training, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU, NICU, or pediatric critical care experience
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse – Pediatric (CCRN-P) preferred but not required
  • Experience with ventilators, ECMO, and pediatric sedation preferred
  • Strong communication and family-centered care approach
