As a Personal Attendant, you will provide essential daily living assistance to clients who need support with personal care and household tasks. Personal Attendants play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients, helping them maintain independence and dignity in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, toileting, and eating
• Prepare meals and support clients during mealtimes
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, dishwashing, and changing bed linens
• Support clients with mobility needs, including safe transfers between beds, wheelchairs, toilets, and showers, following established guidelines
• Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding client needs and any health or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing as required
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and scheduled trainings
• Uphold professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times
• Present a professional appearance and adhere to the organization's dress code

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least one year of directly related experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively with clients, their families, supervisors, and co-workers
• Must be able to travel between work assignments as needed
• Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance required
• CPR & First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to attend monthly staff meetings, trainings, and supervision
• Ability to perform moderate to high levels of physical activity, including lifting up to 10-15 lbs, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and assisting with client transfers
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations
